I’m a freelancer, so I wear a few hats that I switch around. I’ll try to be brief and make some sense of it. I’m a fashion designer, seamstress, product developer, consultant and teacher based in Amsterdam.

As you’ll see on this glorious website I have made for myself, I have worked in haute couture, ready-to-wear, and theatre, including for brands like Viktor & Rolf and institutions like the National Opera & Ballet.

My focus now, though, is on building a responsible, inclusive and resilient fashion industry. This has led me to work with organisations like The Sustainability Club and Fair Wear Foundation, and to volunteer with others like Remake and Slow Fashion Movement NL.

But I’ve always been quite hands on, so teaching sewing, pattern cutting, upcycling, and macramé workshops felt like a natural progression of things. I love helping people reconnect with their clothes in a tangible way through practical, tactile skills.

I've also always been quite preoccupied by textile waste and most importantly waste colonialism. Blame it on my OCD, I just like when things find their home. And after working across different areas of the fashion industry, the scale of the problem just became more blatant.

So, in an effort to bridge all the different facets of my knowledge, came this deeper commitment to weaving creativity with circularity.

Which is why I founded ERMAPA.

I started ERMAPA out of a very practical frustration: there are so many initiatives, services, and tools out there to help extend the life of clothing, but the information is very scattered and hard to navigate, especially beyond one city or country. I wanted one place where this knowledge could come together and be easily shared and understood. And I love a good list.

ERMAPA is a collaborative, open-source platform that maps services, initiatives, and knowledge around second-hand, care, repair, donation, swap, resale or disposal of clothing and textiles worldwide. It’s community-driven by design, because tackling textile waste only works if we connect the dots together.

Being a third culture kid, I have lived in a few places: Barcelona, Brussels, Amsterdam, and different places in the UK. Meaning I am fluent in English, Spanish, and French. And I also got some bases in Portuguese and Dutch (we’re working on it).

If anything here resonates with you or your project, feel free to reach out.
I’d love to work together.
